The aim of Nottingham Casuals Rugby Football Club is to teach and develop rugby skills in young people in a safe and fun environment.
- Aim to obtain all RFU coaching qualifications and encourage other volunteers to do so
- A minimum of 3 coaches or committee members who are qualified first aiders will be available every week.
- Anyone that has regular supervisory contact with young players under 18 years of age must have been DBS checked.
- Never ridicule, belittle or verbally abuse any player or supporter.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person with whom they work with and treat them equally within the context of rugby union.
- Become fully aware of the RFU Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies and know who your reporting officer is.
- Take part in a RFU Safeguarding Course when one is available.
- Place the physical and emotional well being of all young players above all other considerations, including the development of performance.
- The relationship that a rugby coach develops with the players with whom they work must be based on mutual trust and respect.
- Ensure that all activities undertaken are appropriate to the age, maturity, experience and ability of the young players.
- Encourage young players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.
