3. Young People


Skill Development, fun and enjoyment are the most important parts of Rugby.

  • Listen and respect your coaches and abide by their rules.
  • Learn the laws of the game and play within them.
  • Respect differences in gender, disability, culture, race ethnicity and religious belief systems.
  • Recognise good play by ALL players on your team and by your opponents.
  • Show patience and act with dignity towards others at all times.
  • Treat all player’s as you would like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of any player.
  • Take time to thank those who assist you, whether it be family, organisations or team mates.
  • Play to the laws of the game and accept, without question, all the referee’s decisions.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team and both will then benefit.
